I cannot hide my excitement when I heard about these new liquid eyeshadows. At first glance, this was a very promising dupe to the beloved "Stila Magnificant Metals Liquid Eyeshadows" ($24.00). These are hyperpigmented glittery shadows that looks absolutely stunning on the lids. To find something similar for a fraction of the price was worth a closer look at.
Colourpop recently released five new "Super Nova Shadows" that retails for $7.00 on their website, each containing 0.17 oz. This is 0.2 oz more than the Stila Shadows. I managed to grab the shade "Hard to Empress" at the time of my order.

Hard to empress is a rusty burgandy color. On the lids, these appear more copper to the eye. It swatched very evenly on my arm. It comes with a standard doe foot applicator that makes it very easy to work with.
Application
I decided to create a halo eye look, featuring this colourpop shadow as the pop of color in the center of the look.
I went in with a warm orange transition shade on my lids. I blended it out focusing most of the color in my crease and diffusing the color into my brow bone.
Next I went in with a dark burgandy brown shade in my outer corner. I started off with small amounts of color and gradually built it up into the intensity that I desired. I repeated the same steps to my inner corner, leaving the center of my lids relatively bare.
Lastly, I added the supernova shadow to the center of my eyelids and blended the edges out with my fingers.

Wear Test
Overall I would give this product a 8/10. Colourpop description of these shadows are as followed:
These high-impact ultra-glittery shadows have a metallic base, are extremely long-wearing, and can be used as a base, alone, or as a topper.
These are more so liquid metallics. They look very foiled on the lids, but not as glittery/shimmer as I would like. On my lids, I noticed minimal glitter, but I definitely would not replace my loose glitter for these supernova shaodws. For 7 bucks, I would say go for it. They are absolutely stunning on the lids. However if you are looking for something with tons of glitter with little to no fallout, I would stay stick with the Stila Magnificent Liquid Shadows. Those will give you more impact.
See you next time,
