Hello Hello! How is everyone doing today. Let me be honest, I love wearing black, white, and taupe- all of the neutral colors. Those are just the shades I tend to gravitate towards the most when choosing an outfit. I think in a way, color intimidates me; you tend stand out. This week I wanted to challenge myself, push out of my comfort zone, and come up with easy ways to add more color to any look. This was what I came up with.
Throwing on a jacket is the easiest way to add a splash of color, especially if layered over neutrals. Here I threw on this anorak jacket in millennial pink. My sister actually gave me this jacket as a gift this Christmas, and I have been waiting to incorporate it into the perfect look. Underneath, I kept the colors very neutral, a white lace top and light washed denim jeans. For me, it is all about directing the audience's attention, and for me, showcasing color was the main goal to my look.
Another easy way to add color is by changing up your shoes. If you are scared about wearing colorful items, this is the way to go. And these floral embroidered booties, man, they're are really the star of the show. I received so many compliments the day I wore these out. The pink of the jacket matching the shoes, and the white of the top matching the flowers, these booties tied the whole look together.
So, what did you think of this look?
Let me know in the comments below.
Goodbye for now,
T.N
